Position Summary

  • Lead Advanced Procurement effort in winning the initial business through supplier negotiation pre-award and improve margins after customer award.
  • Secure best possible costs (TCO-total cost of ownership) through strategic sourcing and effective negotiation cross all commodities like raw materials, components, to support CCT market development, market expansion and new market entrance in China and APAC
  • Drive execution and realization on important cost reduction initiatives
  • The scope of responsibility includes quoting, negotiating, sourcing, buying, and managing supplier relationship and supplier performance in support of APAC CCT business requirement essentials.
  • It will be instrumental in all phases that require the skills necessary to identify cost savings opportunities, create competitive environments, creatively negotiate, and generate favorable Terms & Conditions to assure seamless availability of products to support various projects.
  • Establish strong connections with key stakeholders including sales, site operations and project management engaging them and assuring sourcing strategy is aligned with their needs and expectations.

  • Effective procurement project deployment in supporting of all new product development projects, CCT China localization needs and any other initiatives to support CCT APAC business growth

Essential Responsibilities

  • Identify most competitive acceptable sources, solicit proposals, analyze quotes to support sales projects to achieve targeted order volume; new product launch in the time frame directed by the Program Manager / Sales Lead. Present comprehensive data driven analysis on sourcing strategy, risk management, and best cost options to meet targeted cost, quality and delivery requirements.
  • Identify, audit, and develop new sources selected for new projects. Act as point of contact for all new product supplier related questions.
  • Work closely with Global sourcing team and Global operations team.
  • Perform on-site inspection of finished products before shipment to ensure their quality compliance.
  • Support supplier root cause analysis & corrective actions if non-conformances are identified against quality of delivered goods and supplier on time performance to bring supplier back on track
  • Lead Vendor Inventory Management program to negotiate volume pricing, stocking program to support new and current product lines.
  • Places initial orders (FAI’s, samples, prototypes, and first production runs) by following APQP process with agreed T&C’s. Tracks and maintains required receipt dates.
  • Lead appropriate handover process of sourced products to assigned buyers after successful development; monitor & support initial mass production order progress to ensure seamless transition
  • Monitors supplier key performance indicators to ensure their full compliance to ITT supplier Code of Conducts. ITT requirements and expectations, also escalate issues where deem as necessary
  • Maintain right level of knowledges on supplier management, market intelligence, government regulations, and continually drive best purchasing practices and procedures to improve supplier quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Perform additional assignments at the discretion of the Management Team.
  • Comply with ESH policy and procedure, implement ESH responsibilitiescarry out ESH activities, keep all operations in line with ESH requirements and deliver ESH performance;

Other ad hoc projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree (vocational, professional, or advanced) in the field of supply chain management, engineering, or business.
  2. Proven general capabilities in understanding and communicating the technical and quality aspects of the goods and services procured.
  3. Able to interface with all levels such as machinist and design engineers.
  4. Good time management including building and maintaining timelines for product realization and shipments, for new product quotes.
  5. Must possess a broad knowledge of the market and a technical knowledge of materials and equipment.
  6. Possesses strong process and technical familiarity with modern ERP or an automated purchasing system like Oracle and SAP.
  7. Requires strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Multi-lingual capabilities preferred but not required.
  8. Project Management experience and able to manage parallel projects will be a plus.
  9. Familiar with broader commodities like stamping, welding, molding, casting is preferred.
  10. Able to verify quality inspection and understand quality management system. Familiar with Quality management knowledge (ISO9001/ISO13485, control plan, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, Risk Management assessment. statistical methods will be a plus.
