Position Summary

ITT India Solutions / Aftermarket Sales Engineer

 

Position Summary:

The Solutions Engineer will be dedicated to our sales efforts in growing the ITT PRO Services aftermarket business for the Vadodara site. The role will be wide ranging – covering a variety of markets and multiple end users with our vast array of aftermarket products and services including repairs, equipment upgrades and parts. In this role, detailed rotating equipment design and operational experience will be required as well as am ability to problem solve in order to deliver technical solutions that reduce the lifecycle cost of our customers equipment.

Primary Duties:

  • Manage all technical and commercial aspects of design solutions associated with rotating equipment and deliver these recommended solutions in the form of technical/commercial proposals in a timely manner
  • Work with Pro Shop Engineers and ITT Product & Engineering Specialists Team to develop best in class solutions to customers problems
  • Travel to customer sites to understand problems and develop / explain the technical and commercial benefits of design solutions 
  • Collect site data to assist team efforts in troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis activities 
  • Deliver an exceptional level of customer service whilst adhering to SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)
  • Actively contribute to the growth of the business

Essential Responsibilities

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10 years minimum experience in rotating equipment repair encompassing assembly and machining (preferably centrifugal pumps/ engineered pumps) overhaul, repair, upgrades, trouble shooting and customer relations
  • Hands on experience in repair of rotating equipment
  • Experience in producing accurate & competitive proposals
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully planning / project management of complex projects
  • Highly professional level of customer service skills
  • Ability to define own priorities
  • Ability to clearly articulate requirements both written and verbally
  • High degree of knowledge of common rotating equipment standards such as API 610
  • Vibration Institute or equivalent qualification desirable
  • High level of competence in using all aspects of Microsoft office – word / excel / ppt
  • Team player with ability to collaborate across countries
  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering – business / finance qualification desirable
