Position Summary

The Network Administrator’s role is to perform administration functions for multiple aspects of the ITT Global network. This includes monitoring, support, troubleshooting and configuration of network switches, routers, cores and WiFi equipment, including initial setup, configuration and adds / changes. This individual will work on all production, development, and corporate networks. The Network Administrator will also work closely with the Cyber Ops, Hosting, Identity Management and Technical Assistance Center to ensure a strong and robust network is always available.  Strong Service Level Agreement (SLA) responsibilities and strict change control are synonymous with this role. This role is intended to be staffed ONSITE in ITT’s Athens, Greece location.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Carry out system administration tasks such as software installation/updates, security patches, and hardware maintenance.
  • Monitor and analyze network uptime & performance across the enterprise.
  • Maintain network documentation, including but not limited to: topology diagrams relating to moves, adds and changes as they occur.
  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
  • Upgrade network hardware and software components as required.

Position Requirements

  • Working technical knowledge of current Internet and network protocols
  • Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
  • Knowledge of Cisco iOS, networking tools including Cisco Prime, Cisco ISE, IPMonitor, Netflow and others preferred.
  • Palo Alto Firewall experience is a plus.
  • Experience on Alerts & Monitoring solutions is a plus.
  • 2+ years’ experience in the administration, monitoring, troubleshooting and support of enterprise level networks.

Work Conditions

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • This role requires availability for planned off-hours work and scheduled on-call as needed.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate power tools, computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
  • Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
