Under the direction of the Supervisor, Hosting Services Operations, this individual provides support for data center services related to systems, storage and maintenance of those related company environments.
The Data Center Hosting Services Administrator is responsible for administering the day-to-day operations of ITT’s global hosting services footprint. S/he will be part of a team responsible for day-to-day operations of all hardware, software, tools, processes, and service delivery of all services that host and process ITT’s applications, systems and data for the global enterprise. This role interfaces with several technical peers and business based IT leaders in the performance of these services.
A successful candidate will be able to manage systems and storage dedicated to hosting of systems, data, and related technologies within our corporate data center as well as remote data centers and globally distributed locations. This role will be a key contributor to the administration of our data center infrastructure. |
- Executes the team’s objectives for local and global data centers. - Administers Wintel platform and maintains the required configuration. - Provides technical support for the Wintel environments globally, ensuring maximum uptime and availability. - Implements the change, upgrade, or removal of current hardware or software systems. - Works with appropriate business partners to implement new hardware or software as required. - Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and makes recommendations. - Ensures security standards are being met, and takes appropriate steps when deficiencies are uncovered. - Participates in disaster recovery testing. - Remediates incident and service requests. - Drafts operational documentation as requested. - Provide support for the following applications & hardware globally: o Microsoft SCCM for patching and server inventory o Virtualization infrastructure support through SCVMM and vCenter o Storage: HPE 3PAR, HPE Alletra, Dell Compellent, HP StoreOnce, NetApp o Hardware: HPE\Dell blades and chassis, Dell\HPE servers o Support global backup process and remediation. - Expectations of the role include but are not limited to: o Manage enterprise grade storage systems and infrastructure. o Manage enterprise grade hosting solutions. o Manage hypervisor platforms (compute and storage). o Maintain continuous availability of the environment and contribute to improvement practices. o Perform infrastructure troubleshooting, resolve issues, and document solutions. o Make configuration changes to keep the infrastructure secure and reliable. o Develop automation for routine processes. o Participate in data protection discussions, provide input and make recommendations on solutions to support the enterprise environment. o Patching and upgrading of operating systems and firmware; addressing non-compliance as needed. o Be a team player and participate in an on-call rotation. - Additional responsibilities as assigned by department leadership. - Ability to participate in special projects as requested.

- College Degree in computer science, information sciences or related field and 3-5 years of experience; OR 5+ years relevant experience. - Strong knowledge of computer hardware & operating systems (e.g., Windows & Linux Server Operating Systems). - Strong working knowledge in enterprise backup disk-based solutions (e.g., Azure Backup, CommVault, Veeam). - Knowledge of industry standard maintenance practices and monitoring tools is required, Solarwinds preferred. - Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS, Windows, and Linux Servers - Working knowledge with Windows Active Directory is required. - Strong knowledge of enterprise grade virtualization is required. - Working knowledge in Microsoft SCVMM and SCCM is preferred. - Working knowledge in enterprise storage solutions is a plus. - Experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or other scripting languages is a plus. - Azure Administration (AZ-104 or successor) Certification within 6 months of employment - Experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 is required. - Experience with Intune and Azure Arc is a plus. - Experience with Linux is desirable - Experience with AS/400 (iSeries) is a plus - Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems. - Experience leading an organization which provide outsourced/hybrid services is a plus.
