SAP CoE, as part of ITT global strategy, is aiming to upgrade outdated ERP systems and increase SAP ECC 6.0 footprint utilizing internal SAP teams and expertise. In the next 3-5 years, we have scheduled several implementation projects in Europe, USA, and Asia.

The implementation projects along with support of existing SAP systems, create requirements for ABAP development for different enhancements, reports, interfaces, etc. Those developments need to be coordinated, prioritized, appropriately scheduled, and delivered.

He/she will be expected to have a deep technical background in the SAP development area (both ABAP and FIORI), as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills to bridge the internal needs of the various internal IT organizations.

He/she will be responsible for the IT service delivery model supporting the day-to-day operational needs and projects of all Companies (Values Centers), as well as envisioning, recommending, and facilitating business changes to automate, streamline and ensure a highly available service offering for our internal and external customers.

• Strong analytical skills to understand requirements, combined with a strong problem-solving approach
• Capable to prioritize, plan and balance many active priorities within all VC and able to provide clear and feasible planning and due dates for each topic in his basket (and able to understand the different urgencies and criticalities).
• Able to coordinate and execute testing in collaboration with the SAP functional teams of each VC
• Support the SAP CoE and each Value Center in establish thoughtful plans, risk assessments, and implementation plans.
• Able to understand the complexity of each task

This individual is expected to be deeply knowledgeable in all the SAP FIORI and ABAP topics with a large amount of experience in the maintenance activities  and new projects developments related to all the ITT SAP systems.

He/she need to be able to work with SAP Functional Analysts (internal/external) and Technical/Development teams (internal/external) to support the design, the build, and the implementation of various SAP integrated solutions.

The experienced SAP ABAP developer will:

• Proactively work and mitigate any unforeseen risks.
• Recognize the most appropriate and productive long terms solutions for business.
• Collaborate with functional leads on the design of functional requirements and work on creating document structure.
• Provide initial estimates of effort for development to support ongoing SAP implementations or improve existing SAP systems.
• Demonstrate ability to work with multiple streams to get the WRICEF requirements, effort estimates, and the related approach based on functionality scope
• Key deliverables will be based on specific work assignments
• Support world-wide IT projects in the SAP

• Bachelor’s degree
• SAP (ABAP) Certification could be a plus.
• 8+ years of strong SAP ABAP development experience in various modules, including FI/CO, SD, MM, WM and preferably in QM and PP.
• 2+ Full cycle SAP implementation.
• Experience in creating complex reports using SAP reporting tools like ALV (ABAP List Viewer), SAP Query, and Report Painter/Report Writer.
• Proficiency in ABAP object orientation (OOP’s) of classes, interfaces, and methods.
• Experience with conversion and Interfaces.
• Extensive experience using BDC, LSMW and BAPI.
• Proficiency in Adobe forms, Smart forms, and SAP Scripts.
• Configuring the smart forms/SAP Scripts/Adobe Forms to the output type in NACE.
• Custom development and modifications to SAP defined layouts sets and print programs using smart forms and SAP Scripts.
• Experience with performance optimization: Ability to analyze and optimize the performance of ABAP programs and custom developments within ECC 6.0, including SQL performance tuning, indexing, loop optimization and buffer management.
• Experience with IDocs.
• Experience with Proxy.
• Working knowledge of EDI.
• Extensive experience with Customer exits, User exits and BADIs for SAP Enhancements using classes.
• Experience in using various modularization techniques like subroutines, Function modules, RFC’s and class modules.
• Extensive experience with debugging using various SAP provided methodologies; Experience in analyzing runtime errors and debugging ABAP Programs.
• Experience with analytical and problem-solving skill set required.
• Work in collaboration within development team and across other team members.
• Learn and understand business processes.
• Experience with documentation including Unit test and technical specifications.
• Experience with code review.
• On-Call rotation
• Good communication skill.
• Knowledge of Gentran a plus.

Main Accountabilities:

• Evaluate needs and provide technical options/recommendations to address the needs
• Define and validate priorities with peers, set and reset expectations with transparent due dates
• Strong client-driven mindset and be willing to extend themselves to collaborate across teams, geographies, and time zones in an effective and efficient manner.
• Supporting solutions around SAP ecosystems and a technology stack of SAP Enterprise Core Component (ECC), SAP HANA, Suite on HANA, Fiori etc.
• Independently drive issue resolution coordinating with all parties as needed to drive results.
• Provide accurate and timely estimates based on functional specifications.
• High degree of technical skill in troubleshooting technical issues.
• Apply best practice business processes and technical alternatives while operating in a rapidly changing business environment
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of SAP ABAP and FIORI developments.
• Establish and maintain a roadmap for continuous improvement in SAP developments best practices.
• Work on the root cause analysis and institute processes and corrective actions to prevent repetitive issues.
• Participate in all projects related to the further adoption (site consolidation/migrations) and modernization (Suite on HANA and S/4HANA) of ITT’s strategy as it relates to our continued investment in SAP.
• Identify and execute opportunities that create operational efficiencies (automation, shift-left, etc.).

• Technical Specifications – prepare and communicate written technical specifications based on business requirements
• Solution Evaluation – analyze, evaluate, and select appropriate technology to implement solutions that meet requirements
• Development – develop source code, database, and other technical objects to create programs that meet requirements; create and maintain robust documentation aligned with best practices.
• Testing – test all programs to ensure requirements are met
• Performance Optimization and Security – ensure all delivered solutions meet performance and security requirements
