To prepare commercially sound quotations and assist the sales force in winning orders through technical clarifications as part of a team.

· Prepare technical and competitive proposals for customers within deadline and respond to any technical clarifications. Where necessary, secure technically and commercially compliant quotations from sub vendors for equipment. · Enter clean orders on all our factories for pumps, parts, valves, services, or orders for returned material. Own the clean order process and be responsible to hand over jobs to operations or to contract managers. · Be proactive in querying customers on all quotations and proposals submitted. Follow up and follow through. · Be proactive in solving problems, being customer service oriented, and dedicated to detail and getting things done correctly. Be familiar with all Goulds products and services, including Goulds USA, Goulds Korea, Bornemann, ITT India, ITT Saudi and have partial knowledge of all IP products. Be knowledgeable and gain expertise with required electronic tools. · Attend or take all possible training that is made available. This can be classroom or through CBT (Computer Based Training) · Be flexible to additional duties as been instructed by management. Record keeping by e-tools. · Be familiar with company organization structure, chain of command, policies, and procedures · Develop strong relations with internal factory contacts, representatives and customers where applicable. · Assist in organizing pump schools and training of other employees and distributors · Support Field Sales Engineers, Area Sales Managers, and representatives in all aspects of business with the objective of increasing sales and improving customer service. · Be aware of concerning sales performance to plan for the Sales Engineer areas · Support colleagues in same or different areas · Contributing to improving office procedures so as to become more efficient. · Support proposal preparation for large key projects · Constantly seek ways for internal processes improvement, including creation of new processes, if needed. · Demonstrate knowledge of the market conditions and how business and competitive factors influence customer purchase decisions. |
Education: Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering Degree
Experience: 2+ years of experience in Application engineer role (Preferred) Similar Function in Industrial Business, preferably pumps /rotating equipment. (Preferred)
