PURPOSE OF POSITION: |
Responsible for Global Performance Test Engineering for the Industrial Process centrifugal pump group to ensure high quality and consistency in global performance test operations. |
SCOPE AND MAGNITUDE | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS |

· Coach, train, and mentor global engineering and test personnel. · Review results of pump performance tests and discuss results with internal and external stakeholders. · Compile accurate global data on 1st pass test yield and lead improvement initiatives with Design Centers. · Provide 2nd line troubleshooting support for pump test failures · Lead standardization of the company’s global test programs, test standards, test data, and standard work instructions. · Provide leadership and technical support in designing and improving test capability of Global IP test facilities. · Up to 50% Travel, Domestic and International | Education: BS Engineering in Mechanical Eng. and/or Electrical Eng. Experience: 5+ years of experience in the testing of pumps or equivalent Skills/knowledge: · Knowledge of the testing and troubleshooting of centrifugal pumps (vibration & hydraulic) · Knowledge of test instrumentation, measurement & setup (Head, Flow, Power, Temperature, Vibration, Displacement) · Knowledge of a programming language (Labview & Visual Studio preferred) · Knowledge of calibration process/procedures · Interpersonal, communication, project management & VBLSS skills. · Knowledge of pump manufacturing processes. · Knowledge of industry test standards including API, ANSI, ISO, HI, etc. · Creativity (i.e. the ability to approach problems in non-traditional fashion). · Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities. · Ability to identify barriers to success and find solutions working across the organization. · Effective written and verbal communication. |
