Position Summary

The principal purpose for this position is to:

  1. Support standard practices and processes, goals, and measures for ITT/IP Suppliers in support of coordinated Global Supply Chain strategies.
  2. Support process control tools and measures at Supplier facilities to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and cost requirements are achieved.
  3. Follow up Component Development using APQP process.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Supplier Quality Audits completed and gap closure implemented.
  2. Supplier Performance – quality, on-time delivery
  3. Development of Supplier manufacturing processes with focus on continuous improvement
  4. Development of APQP as required for each identified project

Identification and execution of development opportunities to improve delivery, price, or lead time

Position Requirements

Education:

Diploma in Mech. Eng. Or similar with 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably experienced in castings, machining and/or fabrication.

TravelRegional travel to Suppliers is required – up to 80%

Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Technical experience
  • Standards: ASTM, DIN, ASME, WPS/PQR/WPO (basic)
  • Read and interpret drawings, ability to understand critical processes
  • Foundry (Medium), fabrications (Medium), machining (medium) processes
  • Experience with patterns and foundry tooling (medium).
  • Heat treatment (basic), coating / painting (basic)
  • Inspection & measuring, experience in:
  • NDT processes (LPT, MPT, UT, RT) – certification a plus
  • Ability to use hand precision measuring instruments, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and other precision instruments.
  • Hands on Experience in carrying out Visual Inspection.
  • Supplier Development & process experience
  • Quality requirement in Pump & Valve or related industry
  • Capable of performing manufacturing process control assessments using structured review methodology.
  • Capable to support supplier quality, technical assessments, capacity studies, and capability audits
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Good Knowledge of Excel (pivot table, and data analysis)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (in verbal/written English
  • Ability to travel approx. 80%
