Position Summary

 

The Product designer Engineer in the R&D department will lead the design, development, and validation of connector assembly technologies and processes. This role focuses on innovation, prototyping, and transferring new solutions into production, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with customer requirements.

 

Essential Responsibilities

 

 
  • Product & Process Development

    • Design and develop new connector assembly methods and technologies.
    • Create prototypes and validate designs through testing and analysis.
 
  • Innovation & Research

    • Investigate emerging materials, automation solutions, and assembly techniques.
    • Drive feasibility studies and proof-of-concept projects for next-generation connectors.
 
  • Collaboration & Technology Transfer

    • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering to scale R&D solutions into production.
    • Partner with Quality and Supply Chain teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
 
  • Testing & Validation

    • Define and execute test plans for new designs and processes.
    • Analyze performance data and implement design improvements.
 
  • Documentation & Standards

    • Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and reports.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality guidelines.

 

Position Requirements

 

 
  • Experience:

    • Strong experience in engineering roles, with exposure to product development or process improvement.
    • Experience in manufacturing or assembly environments is a plus.
 
  • Core Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
    • Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
 
  • Other Requirements:

    • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.
    • Proficiency in common engineering tools (CAD, data analysis software).
    • Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to new technologies.
