Position Summary

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for the profitable expansion of the assigned product lines. The overall goal will be growing ITT Connectors opportunity funnel, market share and revenues while improving reach to new customers and projects. The selected candidate will develop and implement product and pricing strategies, provide technical product support, application assistance and product training to the sales team. The incumbent will manage pricing and product rationalization activities, champion new products and perform product portfolio analysis. In addition, the incumbent will be a liaison between Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product development strategy for the assigned product lines
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive growth, retention and profitability and optimize market penetration
  • Identify new product opportunities and drive NPI activities for Customer-Specific solutions, leading cross functional teams
  • Partner with Engineering in converting the product roadmaps into new concepts and products
  • Research market conditions to determine potential sales of product; Collect and analyzes data to evaluate existing and potential product market
  • Ensure understanding of customer applications and proactively drive and support sales in promoting and designing-in ITT Connector solutions
  • Develop key business contacts within the industry and maintains active communication with key customers and distributors.
  • Remain cognizant of all pertinent competitive activities, including technical developments and market share data and perform competitive and market attractiveness analysis.
  • Oversee proposal preparation, pricing establishment and large quotation activities.
  • Partner in advertising, trade shows, and sales promotion programs and other industry activities.
  • Partner in the strategy and execution of product launches, including the development of content for the Marketing Communications materials.

    • Product portfolio optimization and cost reduction initiatives

Position Requirements

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Economic and/or technical background, preferred with a Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree. Connector market experience (5+ years) will be considered in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years of product-related or technical experience in technical businesses (ideally connectors)
  • Strong understanding of connector technologies for harsh environment applications
  • Experience in working with cross functional teams to develop pricing and proposals
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse and global employees, including the ability to motivate, energize, manage, and develop performance of other staff members
  • Champions the process of change and promotes a culture of quick adaptation while fostering change management
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive approach to Planning, organization capabilities and problem resolution. Has strong organizational and leadership skills to enable him/her to drive performance and deliver results.
  • Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans
  • Strong ability to present technically complex concepts in a way to foster understanding and acknowledgement of critical information
  • Customer-facing skills
  • Ability to travel periodically (up to 30%)
  • The proficiency with MS Office is required
