Position Summary

The General Accountant, under the supervision of the Assistant Controller, will provide support general accounting functions that support the creation of month-end and year-end financial statements. Ensure accounting records and general ledger is maintained accurately and in accordance with GAAP principles.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Preparing and validating invoice payments
  • Responsible for verification and posting of closing GL journal entries
  • To be in charge of auditing
  • Coordinate/perform closing activities
  • Ad Hoc Analysis
  • Performing/collecting information for inventory cycle count
  • Fixed Asset Reconciliation
  • Distribution of department spend information

Position Requirements

EDUCATION:              Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration

EXPERIENCE:           Two to three years working experience in Finance, Desirable in a manufacturing industry  

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE:         Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

                                 Proactive attitude with strong communication/interpersonal skills.

                                 Financial Analysis Skills

 

LANGUAGES:      Advanced - Bilingual English Spanish
