Position Summary

Highly skilled Engineer with a strong background in order engineering with Pump OEM or EPC. Responsible for complete technical scoping of the project inline with customer’s specifications & requirements. Direct responsibility for releasing engineering deliverables like BOM, technical documentation etc. Knowledge of items like electric motors, couplings, mechanical seals & sealing systems. The ideal candidate will coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and deliver high-quality results.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Detailed study of customer’s technical specifications, review of TQ’s & other project related technical information.
  • Preparation and release of Bill of Material & ERP related activities.
  • PR release for procurement of long lead bought-out items.
  • Preparation of technical documents like Pump Data Sheet, Noise DS, lubrication schedule, Utility consumption list, Spares lists etc.
  • Technical review & approval of vendor documents for items like electric motors, mechanical seals, seal systems, couplings etc.
  • Know-how on various international standards including API, HI, ISO & ANSI standards related to pump industry.
  • Participation in kick-off meetings with various stakeholders & contribute for achieving project success.
  • Collaborate with CFT members, customers & provide required support for timely completion of activities.
  • Knowledge of ECN process.
  • Organize the project engineering activities and the assigned resources (engineering specialists, subcontractors, tools, etc.) providing all needed explanation / support
  • Verify the project documentation (technical specifications, drawings, calculations, etc.) and ensure its communication/explanation to the other parties involved in the project
  • Review of general arrangement drawing, cross sectional drawings, P&ID, fabrication drawings for customer approval.
  • Provide inputs to the Functional Head in the definition and preparation of the project procedures and guidelines, and ensure that they are fully met in all the engineering activities and in their outputs (project specifications and documentation).
  • Quickly identify issues and risks related to the engineering activities identifying and implementing the required mitigation actions.
  • Regularly inform the Functional Head on the performance and the status of the project engineering activities.
  • Provide inputs to the Functional Head in the evaluation of the project changes (evaluating their feasibility, identifying the technical solution to implement and identifying the required resources) including the ones that can require a change order (to be discussed with the Client)

Position Requirements

  • Education: BE Mechanical
  • Experience: Minimum 8+ years in working experience in Pump / Contract Engineering – Pumps / Project Consulting firms / Project Engineering firms / EPC firms

Technical Expertise: Knowledge about international standard of Pumps & Mech. Seals , Design Engineering
