Position Summary

We are looking for Skilled Continuous Improvement Leader with 20+ years of professional experience in rotating and industrial product range industries.

Production Manager will lead the end-to-end Manufacturing operations and will manage planning, machining, assembly, testing and Quality compliance workflows to ensure equipment’s meets stringent quality requirements, customer delivery expectations, and optimal manufacturing cost. Proven results in exceeding targets while improving efficiency and reducing costs. Demonstrated skills in creating, leading, and executing process improvements, Set-up reduction. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication & leadership skills, ability to supervise, mentor others and a good team player.

Essential Responsibilities

  1. Plan, direct, and monitor all production activities within an assigned area, unit, single plant or multiple plants (or factory, branch, or other facility) to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost, and wastage targets; quality standards and/or achieve the short and medium-term financial and operating objectives set by the overall corporate business plan.
  2. Enforce Plant safety regulations, hazardous material handling protocols and operational safety equipment’s.
  3. Plan and execute daily / Monthly production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and project deadlines.
  4. Monitor shop utilization, efficiency and manpower allocation to manage bottlenecks.
  5. Responsible for activities such as maintenance, manufacturing and Testing.
  6. Coordinate closely with QA/QC dept for In-process stage inspections and final inspections.
  7. Plans and manages inventory to meet manufacturing requirements. Plans and prepares manufacturing production (and/or repair) schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
  8. Drive Kaizens, 5S and LEAN manufacturing initiatives to reduce scrap, rework and cycle times.
  9. Utilize ERP tools effectively for material tracking, shop floor activities and inventory management.
  10. Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Analyzes plant capacity and production requisitions data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources.
  11. Prepares production reports and reviews documents, such as production schedules, staffing tables, and specifications, to obtain information such as materials, priorities, and personnel requirements. May also create kits of parts for use in manufacturing process.

  13. Train, mentor and evaluate competency of shop supervisors and workmen’s.

Position Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / production engineering

Experience: Min 20 years of working experience in Pump / rotating equipment’s or large-scale Heavy Engineering & manufacturing industry.

Skill Set Required : 

  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in production planning and resource optimization
  • Knowledge of TQM, Lean, Six Sigma (Preferred)
  • Excellent communication and inter departmental coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of machining, fabrication, assembly and testing processes familiarity with ISO, API standards, and ERP systems
